Sea Dancers | Lost Satyrs of the Mediterranean

Synopsis: On the night of March 4, 1998, lightning struck for the second time on the fishing vessel of a Mazara del Vallo fisherman as he pulled from his nets the torso of the Dancing Satyr, one of the finest bronzes ever found in the Mediterranean, and incredibly, the match for a bronze leg found by the same fisherman in the same boat the year before. The Satyr, believed to date from 200 – 400 BCE, is also believed to be one of a major cache of exquisite bronzes still underwater, and in Summer 2018, Watercolour Media in partnership with the Aurora Foundation and Nautilix Inc will embark on the incredible journey to retrieve those still-lost satyrs and return them to the world.

Finding Amelia | Searching the Sea

Synopsis: Amelia Earhart pioneered more than aviation during her lifetime. A trailblazer in multiple arenas, Amelia broke down gender barriers, wrote best-selling books, taught engineering, founded women’s organizations, supported the ERA and inspired women and men both to believe in the impossible. This intrepid aviator and visionary blazed a trail to excellence that burns as brightly today as ever, yet even today, a full eighty years after she inexplicably disappeared on her attempt to circumnavigate the globe, her mystery is alive and as enigmatic as ever. Theories abound and searches have covered thousands of miles, yet no definitive evidence has been found to solve the puzzle of what happened to Amelia. It’s time for a new search.

Join Watercolour Media and the world-class nautiliX Inc team as we search for Amelia one last time, but this time under the sea instead of over it. We’ll take submersibles, exoskeletons, ROV’s and divers to investigate the waters around points of interest in Amelia’s journey, visiting and searching places no one has ever looked before, with the best technology available. This time, finding Amelia just might be within our grasp.

Cracking the Ice | Journey Into the Berg

Synopsis: The tip of the iceberg – everyone knows that one perfectly illustrative way to say that only a tiny fraction of something is visible. That’s also indicative of what we know about the rest of the ice – or it used to be! Icebergs are dangerous behemoths, drifting through shipping lanes, hiding their immense masses underneath deceptively graceful floating sculptures, breaking from their birth glaciers with agonizing force, and flipping unexpectedly and often with amazing velocity from one end to another, displacing anything near and dragging along anything unfortunate enough not to thrive in the frigid water that is inevitably waiting.

And then there are the caves. Ice caves that drill into the heart of bergs, often accessible only from below the water line, potential death traps that can change from tunnels into spectacular beauty, to impossible cliffs that cannot be scaled, all with the flip of an iceberg, the whim of nature.

Join Watercolour Media and the world-class NautiliX Inc team as we bring the best ice cave divers in the world to guide us into the ice, where new ecosystems, unexplored wonders, new species and old and dangerous challenges all await, side by side for our expedition to crack the ice. NAUTILIX INC, the expeditionary and dive team, is an extraordinary group of expertly trained men and women who have commanded missions for NASA, and elite military organizations in the US and abroad.

This time though, technology, research, the best dive team and the most experienced explorers come together to search for one of the most elusive treasures on the planet – and it’s all a secret!
Join Watercolour Media and the world-class NautiliX Inc team as we take on the dream – the search for sunken treasure deep below the surface of the sea. Armed with personal journals that hint at the treasure as well as the log from earlier explorations, and commissioning some of the best and most highly trained underwater experts in the world, we are on a mission to bring you along as we dive deep for buried treasure in the depths of the sea.
